Bike Lanes Arriving in Downtown Fort Worth for the First Time

At the Anderson Law Firm in Fort Worth, we were thrilled to see road crews striping the long-awaited bike lanes at 10th & Texas in downtown yesterday.

Our Fort Worth personal injury lawyers know from experience the devastation that occurs when cyclists and car drivers wreck into each other. Everyone at our accident and injury law firm is proud that the city of Fort Worth is finally doing something to prevent bicycle accidents and keep cyclists safe.

Bike lanes at 10th & Texas are just the beginning of the Downtown Fort Worth bike plan. In an effort to make Fort Worth friendlier to bicyclists and pedestrians, residents can expect to see a large increase in bike parking, bike lanes and shared lane routes, and even a bike lane connection with the Near Southside of Fort Worth.

In cities like Fort Worth, Arlington and Dallas where the car is king and people drive everywhere all the time, it's important to look out for the little guy on two wheel. Bike lanes not only give cyclists a designated area to ride, but also makes it easier on drivers in four wheels to spot bicyclists. With more bike lanes in DFW, we think injuries and deaths from car wrecks and bicycle accidents can go down dramatically.

The Fort Worth pedestrian and bicycle accident attorneys at the Anderson Law Firm tip their hat to the city for getting started on this plan. We expect to see a lot more bicyclists cruising the beautiful city of Fort Worth soon.
