Collision Repair Shop Crash Injures Girl, Grandfather Suspected of DWI

A grandfather and granddaughter have been hospitalized with non-life threatening injuries after their SUV crashed into the wall of a collision repair shop in Colleyville.

The accident occurred at approximately 11:30pm on Wednesday night. The auto repair business damaged in the wreck was Lone Star Collision, located at 6804 Colleyville Blvd.

Colleyville have not publically named the driver of the SUV, although they have revealed that he had previously been arrested on DWI charges on a number of occasions previously, and had at least one prior DWI conviction.

It is suspected that this car wreck was alcohol-related.

As a Colleyville personal injury lawyer, it upsets me that adults who are reckless enough to get behind the wheel of their car do so with children in the vehicle – putting them at great risk. On behalf of everyone here at the Anderson Law Firm, I hope that the young girl injured in this preventable accident makes a full and speedy recovery.

On December 15, another drunk driving accident involving a grandfather and his grandchild occurred in Seagoville, TX. Tony Dickerson, 52, crashed his pickup truck, killing his grandson Josiah Dickerson, 5. Immediately after the wreck, police announced that they suspected Dickerson of driving while intoxicated.
