Drunk Driver Blames ‘Twilight’ Movie, Not Alcohol for DUI Crash

Drunk Driver Blames 'Twilight' For Car WreckPolice in Illinois arrested an extremely intoxicated and irate 18-year-old girl after she wrecked her car in a ditch on Saturday. When asked why she crashed her car, Olivia Christina Ornelas didn't say it was because she was drinking, but because she was upset that her boyfriend wouldn't take her to see "The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn - Part 1." Yes, that's right. Anger from missing the vampire movie, not alcohol made Ornelas wreck the car.

"Ornelas advised that she was extremely upset with her boyfriend because she did not see the movie Twilight like they were supped to," according to a Kendall County police report. Now, Ornelas is charged with driving under the influence and unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor, but she was released on $300 bond.

Now, I know as a Fort Worth personal injury attorney my ‘Twilight' knowledge may be a bit lacking, but I'm sure Jacob or Edward would disapprove of Ornelas driving drunk. I know the Twilight love is real, but let's contain our emotions people and put the bottle down! You'll get to see the movie a lot quicker if you aren't in a jail cell for your DUI conviction.
