Drunk Driving Reality Show to Premiere on TLC

If you’ve read any of my DFW personal injury law blogs, you know that I absolutely loathe drunk drivers. These irresponsible people ruin so many lives and cause many of my clients to have life-changing injuries when they get behind the wheel of a car drunk. Texas has more drunk driving accidents than any other state and it seems like nothing ever gets through to these reckless people. That’s why I was surprised this weekend when I saw a preview for a new reality show on TLC called D.U.I.

The Learning Channel has ordered 12 episodes of the new reality series called D.U.I. that will premiere this week on December 1. The show will go behind the scenes of drunk-driving law enforcement in Oklahoma and unlike COPS, it will focus on the suspects from the time they are pulled over until their sentencing.

Drunk driving is no joke and I hope this show will be used not just for entertainment purposes, but as a tool to prevent others from making the mistake of causing a DUI car accident. Watch the sneak peek of D.U.I. below. Will you be tuning in? My DVR is set.
