Jacksboro Man Killed In Rollover Wreck

Colby Horn, 33, of Jacksboro, was killed in a fatal single vehicle accident which occurred on Farm Road 920 in Parker County on Monday evening. Authorities report that it appears that Mr. Horn's Kia sedan had drifted off the roadway causing him to overcorrect, which flipped the car upside-down and ejecting Mr. Horn. The Tarrant County medical examiner's office says that Mr. Horn was pronounced deceased at 10 pm. A Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) investigation into the crash is ongoing.

Auto accidents resulting in a rollover are perhaps the deadliest kind of collision cases I've worked on. As a safety-minded attorney, I frequently advise people to be cautious of the many traffic hazards which exist on North Texas roads. These are usually personified in the form of negligent drivers such as those who use cell phones while driving, or who choose to get behind the wheel after a night of drinking. However, the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) points out that over 90 percent of all rollover accidents are single vehicle crashes. Furthermore, rollover accidents resulting in ejections make up 63 of all fatalities in such wrecks.

As a Dallas-Fort Worth personal injury lawyer, I would like to offer my most sincere condolences to Mr. Horn's family and friends. I am very sorry for your loss.
