Major 12 Car Accident in Arlington Shuts Down Interstate 30

A major accident involving 12 vehicles was reported at 5:46 p.m. today on westbound I-30 at the Cooper Street exit in Arlington, TX with one person trapped and police at the scene calling for four ambulances and rescue equipment.

Westbound I-30 is currently shut down at Cooper Street. No further details are immediately available, but motorists are advised to use caution in the area.

Accidents happen every day in Arlington, however this wreck sounds very bad. I hope that all 12 people involved in this collision have minor injuries and recover quickly. Drunk driving, distracted driving, or simply lack of paying attention are all reasons an auto collision could happen. If you are driving during rush hour, please be safe.
