Mansfield Man Dies In Head On Collision

The driver of a 2004 Pontiac Bonneville was killed Sunday in a head-on collision with an SUV in southwest Mansfield, police said.

Kelly House, 33, of Mansfield, was pronounced dead at a Mansfield hospital shortly after the 4:30 p.m. wreck, police reported. House's wife and 6-year-old son and the driver of a GMC Yukon were injured but their conditions could not be learned Monday.

The Pontiac was westbound and the SUV was eastbound when they collided in the 1000 block of East Broad Street west of U.S. 287, said Officer Thad Penkala, a Mansfield police spokesman.

Car accidents happen every day here in the DFW metroplex and sometimes when we read these news reports we forget that this was somebody’s husband, somebody’s father.
