The Scariest Part of Halloween

Kids & Halloween
What makes Halloween scary to us at the Anderson Law Firm? It's not ghosts and goblins - it's the fact that kids are four times more likely to be hit by a car on Halloween night than on any other night of the year. That's right, according to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention - children are four times more likely to be hit by a car on Halloween.
Over the years our law firm has represented many people who have been hit by cars and this Halloween we want to make sure you and your little monster are safe from pedestrian accidents. Follow this list of safety tricks and you and yours will be eating candy at the end of the night in your living room and not in the ER!

  • • Remind your children to stick to the sidewalks and obey traffic signs
  • • Children need to stay together with at least one adult chaperon at all times
  • • No matter how delicious the candy is, keep your eyes on the sidewalk and don't walk out into the street without looking both ways
  • • Does your child's mask impair their vision? If it does have them take it off before crossing the street.
  • • Get started early on Halloween or bring a flashlight with you while trick-or-treating so that drivers can see you better

The Anderson Law Firm is skilled in handling a variety of Texas child injury cases. If you child was hurt by the negligence of another, contact us today and see what we can tell you about your legal options.
