Too Much Trash on Tarrant County Highways

Every morning I take Interstate 20 and Highway 287 to get to my job at the Anderson Law Firm in Fort Worth. And every morning, I pass the same old stuff. No, I'm not talking about buildings and cars - I'm talking about trash! Lots and lots of trash!

Seriously, I've seen the same mattress and a sad decaying dog on the side of the highway for what feels like more than a month. What's the deal?

Well, according to the Fort Worth Star Telegram the deal is that the private company, Wilson Contracting, hired by the Texas Department of Transportation has defaulted on their contract to collect litter along Tarrant County highways.

With the high winds and storms we've been having in Fort Worth, it wouldn't be hard to imagine a random 2 x 4 flying up and causing a serious car accident. Not only is this trash situation gross, it's really dangerous, too.

Until TxDOT can get another company to pick up the contract people like me have to drive by all this nasty trash and debris.

If you've been in an accident caused by flying debris, call my injury law firm at 817-294-1900. You might have a claim and could be entitled to get your medical bills and lost wages compensated.
