Tow Truck Accident Leaves One Dead

One person was killed Thursday morning as a result of a tow truck whose driver lost control, resulting in it crashing against a concrete barrier. A second individual aboard the tow truck suffered minor injuries, but it is not clear whether the deceased person was the driver or passenger.

At the time of the accident the tow truck was carrying a compact car, which withstood relatively small damages from the impact. No information has been given as to what the car’s conditions were before the crash.

The accident, occurring on the intersection of highway I-35 (southbound) and Sycamore School Road forced the busy Fort Worth highway to close for several hours into the afternoon as police and other authorities cleared debris and removed the damaged vehicles from the road.

Unfortunately, truck accidents tend to result in larger injuries than regular car-on-car accidents due to a truck's size.
