Vicarious Liability refers to any situation where one person has responsibility for someone else's actions. It is most common in injury cases where the negligent employee is on the job at the time he or she causes someone's injury. Basically, employers have the responsibility for the actions of their staff. If an employee causes an accident and injures someone, then the company would be vicariously liable.
