About Mark A. Anderson
BACKGROUND
Mark A. Anderson was born and raised in the Fort Worth area. After Mark graduated from Boswell High School in Fort Worth, he attended Texas Tech University where he received his Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance. Mark then received his Juris Doctor, with honors, from Baylor University School of Law in 1991. While at Baylor Law School, Mark served as the Editor-In-Chief of the Baylor Law Review.
After graduating from law school, Mark returned to Fort Worth to work for a large civil litigation firm representing Fortune 500 companies. It didn’t take long before he realized that instead of representing large corporations, he was much better suited helping out real people in their fight for fair compensation. While the laws have changed which make this fight harder than it was at the beginning of his career, Mark’s desire to fight these greedy companies has not diminished one bit.
ABOUT HIS PRACTICE
Mark continues to represent ordinary people in a wide-variety of serious personal injury cases. His experience has ranged from helping those injured in car, truck and motorcycle collisions, to representing individuals against some of the largest pharmaceutical drug manufacturers in the world after dangerous drugs were put on the market. From sign-up to trial and appeal, all the way up to the United States Supreme Court, Mark has just about done it all in the field of personal injury law.
Since 1999, Mark has been Board Certified in Personal Injury Trial Law by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization. This is a designation carried by only two percent of the 80,000 practicing lawyers in Texas. Mark carries the prestigious AV Rating by the nationally-recognized Martindale-Hubbell rating system, which means his peers have ranked him at the highest level of professional excellence and ethics. Also, as recognition for his recoveries of multiple millions of dollars for his clients over the years, Mark is a member of the Million Dollar Advocates Forum and Multi-Million Dollar Advocates Forum. These Forums recognize attorneys who have recovered substantial amounts of money for their clients.
LICENSES
Mark is licensed to practice law in every state and federal court in Texas, the U.S. Federal Court of Claims, the United States 5th Circuit Court of Appeals and the Supreme Court of the United States. He’s a member of the American Association for Justice (formerly the American Trial Lawyers Association), the Texas Trial Lawyers Association, the Tarrant County Trial Lawyers Association—where he has served as a director—and the Tarrant County Bar Association.
PERSONAL
Mark married his law school sweetheart Kim Turner. While she practiced law, she worked both as a plaintiff’s attorney representing injured people and also for Allstate Insurance Company. There, she learned all of the dirty tricks that insurance companies play! She now spends her time keeping up with their very busy daughter, Turner. While Kim might be the best attorney in the Anderson household, she is currently off the market and injured parties must settle for Mark as their legal representation.
