Of course, I recommend that you carry automobile insurance with at least the minimum limits.  However, depending upon the value of your personal assets and your comfort level, I encourage you to carry more than the minimum limits.  I also strongly recommend that you carry uninsured motorist protection.  With the unbelievably high number of uninsured drivers on our roads here in Texas, I think this is an absolute necessity.  In addition, I strongly recommend that you carry PIP insurance because it’s a great way to supplement or help pay for your out of pocket medical costs.  If you’re in an accident and do not carry the right kind of insurance, it can absolutely wreck your life.
