- If convicted of driving without a valid driver’s license, you will have to pay a $100 surcharge each year for a period of 3 years
- If convicted of driving while your license is suspended (DWLS), your surcharge increases to $250 per year for 3 years
- The number of points you have may affect how much you have to pay for liability car insurance
