Crowley, TX

Crowley is a small town in Tarrant and Johnson counties with a population of about 8,000. The population has quadrupled since the 1970's. The entire town in only 6.7 square miles and is located near Burleson, and is relatively close to Fort Worth.

Though Crowley is small, it has its own independent school district, and has 8 elementary schools, 2 middle schools and one high school. The area that is now Crowley is thought to have been settled in the early 1800's, and had its first school around 1879. There is a large creek in Crowley called Deer Creek that attracted many of the early settlers to the area.
