The Anderson Law Firm’s College Bowl Contest 2011

Check the leader board! Click here!UPDATED 01/10/2012:
Last night's Allstate BCS National Championship Game between LSU and Alabama left no confusion as to who the rightful winner was; Alabama destroyed LSU to claim a 21-0 win.

Our contest was a different story. In order to find a clear winner we had to go to not one, but two tiebrakers. Here are the final results:

FIRST PLACE WINNER: thx_188 - iPad2

SECOND PLACE WINNER: Lindy_jones22 - $200 Best Buy Gift Card

THIRD PLACE WINNER: btate - $100 Best Buy Gift Card

Congratulations also to RCrabtree who was randomly selected from everyone who took the time to enter the contest as our mystery prize winner who has won a $50 Best Buy Gift Card.

I hope everyone had fun taking part. Keep an eye out for our February Newsletter when we'll have information on our upcoming March Madness brackets contest. We hope you'll all join us once again!

UPDATED 01/09/2012:

Here's the round-up of this weekend's games:
AT&T Cotton Bowl Classic: Kansas State 16 - 29 Arkansas
BBVA Compass Bowl: Pitt 6 - 28 SMU Bowl: Northern Illinois 38 - 20 Arkansas State

Right now, we have a six-way tie for first place between Baby Doll, joeb_1, Leckert, Lindy_Jones22, Seniorbob and thx_188 which means that it could go to a tie braker after tonight's Allstate BCS National Championship Game between LSU and Alabama. Kickoff is 7:30pm CST. Theoretically, any of the nine entrants currently tied for second place also still have a chance to steal first prize too. Take a look at the full leaderboard here.

Good luck everyone!

UPDATED 01/05/2012:

Discover Orange Bowl: Clemson 33 - 70 West Virginia

It was a game which caused quite an unexpected upset - so much so that everyone who was tied for both first and second place in our contest incorrectly predicted the outcome, meaning that the eight people tied for first place today is the same as it was yesterday - this means that someone currently ranking tied second, third, fourth - or possibly even fifth - might still be within a chance to win. There are just four games left and, frankly, the field is wide open.

There is no game scheduled for tonight, so we'll be updating this page next on Monday ahead of the Allstate BCS National Championship Game on Monday night between LSU and Alabama. Remember, that you can log in to view the full leaderboard and track your progress at any time throughout the weekend.

Best of luck to everyone!

UPDATED 01/04/2012:

There are now eight people tied for first place: Baby Doll, btate, gdavis, joeb_1, Leckert, Pokes, ROWDY and thx_188. There is another game tonight, then the remaining four bowls take place one a day from Friday onwards, cluminating in the Allstate BCS National Championship Game clash between LSU and Alabama at 7.30pm CST on Monday, Januray 9th.
