Southlake, TX

Located just west of the Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, Southlake, Texas is situated smack in the middle of the DFW Metroplex, with a current population of over 26,000.

Southlake was officially established as a city in 1965 and increased its population from 1200 to 2000 over the next five years. The migration to Southlake came with the increased production of engines, food packaging and concrete goods in the area, as well as the opening of Dallas-Fort Worth Regional Airport (now known as DFW International Airport) in 1974. Today Southlake is home to the headquarters of Sabre Holdings, an S&P 500 company which includes Travelocity, Sabre Travel Network and Sabre Airline Solutions. As Southlake's population and commerce continued to grow in the late 1990's, a focal point for the city was missing. The city set out to create a unique downtown and in 1999 the first phase of Southlake Town Square was opened with the second and third phases opening in 2006. Today Southlake Town Square proudly houses the Town Hall, Southlake Library and many shopping and restaurant destinations. Southlake also prides itself on the Southlake Carroll Dragons football team, which holds 7 State Championship wins under its belt.
