Dallas-Fort Worth Storms Bring Hail Damage to North Texas
Posted on May 25, 2011
Tarrant, Parker and Denton Counties were battered by the severe storms last night, apparently the worst to hit Dallas-Fort Worth since 1997. One tornado touched down in Azle while another was expected in Saginaw. Tens of thousands of people lost electricity. The Rangers Ballpark in Arlington was forced to evacuate. Hundreds of flights in and out of DFW Airport were cancelled. Fortunately the weather had nowhere near the catastrophic damage suffered in Joplin, Missouri.
The morning after the night before, the worst that most people have suffered is hail damage to their cars, trucks and homes. In Hurst, there were reports of golf ball size hail. Fortunately, in most cases the insurance companies are quick to assist homeowners. However, sometimes the natural impulse of the insurance adjustor to put profits before people takes over, and they try to delay or deny claims altogether. As a lawyer, the biggest problem I see with property damage claims following hail storms, however, is that the insurance company just doesn't want to pay the full amount to cover the repair costs. If that happens to you, I can help.
If you need help dealing with the insurance company to get the full repair cost of hail damage give me a call toll free on 800-354-MARK (6275) or contact me online. If you'd prefer to call on a local number, you can call me at 817-294-1900in Fort Worth and 214-327-8000 in Dallas.
