North Texas Cities to Review Red-Light Tickets Issued During Ice Storm

If last week's ice storm forced you to run a red light, you may be in luck. City officials plan to review tickets issued by red-light cameras during the ice storm so that drivers will not receive citations if the bad weather left them with no other choice.

The cities of Fort Worth and Arlington said the tickets will not be immediately dismissed, but that each instance will be carefully examined. Apparently, as long as video evidence shows the driver made every attempt to stop safely but the elements kept them from doing so, then the ticket could be dismissed.
