We stay pretty busy here at the Anderson Law Firm―and we are grateful for that! We thought we would share a few stories of cases we are currently working on:
Actos
This drug, sold to treat diabetes, has been found to cause bladder cancer. We are currently representing victims of this dangerous drug and their families.
18 Wheeler Truck Wreck Caused by an Inattentive Trucker
A trucker rammed the back of our client’s car, leaving her a quadriplegic. The trucker had previously been involved in another wreck that killed someone. And since the wreck which permanently injured our client, the trucker has died from injuries he received in yet another wreck. This case is set for trial in Houston in April, 2012.
Drunk Driver Causes Injury
A drunk driver smashed into the rear end of our client’s car as he was stopped for a red light on University Drive in Fort Worth. The drunk’s insurance company refused to even pay for all of medical bills incurred by our client, so a lawsuit was brought against the drunk. It is set to be tried in the summer of 2012.
Nursing Home Violates Own Policy Resulting in Death
A Fort Worth nursing home did not send an employee with one of their patients on a trip to the doctor. The patient fell out of his wheelchair and died from head injuries. The fall would not have happened if the nursing home had followed its own written policy. The case is set for trial in January, 2012.
Fall Caused by Mopped Floor Results in Injury
A client of ours was carrying equipment inside an Amarillo hotel when he slipped on a recently mopped floor. This fall could have been prevented if the hotel employees had bothered to put up a yellow sign to warn their customers. This case is set for trial in June of 2012.
