The driver and passenger of a vehicle that crashed into a school Wednesday morning have reportedly suffered injuries from the accident. The accident took place in Fort Worth, at Daggett Montessori school off Hemphill Street.

Police do not yet know what caused the accident. According to reports, the wreck took place after the driver lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree, finally coming at a stop on the school’s front steps. There were no injured children or staff, and there was only minimal damage done to school property.

The accident is still under investigation, and police urge drivers to follow speed safety laws at school zones.

Pedestrian accidents are notorious for causing serious injuries, since pedestrians are more exposed (and therefore more vulnerable) than a driver in a car. It’s our duty as drivers to become better aware of pedestrian to avoid future accidents like this one.
