A multiple-vehicle car accident occurred Sunday night in Dallas that left one person dead and several injured. The wreck occurred on the southbound lanes of Central Expressway, close to East Mockingbird Lane.

Although the exact cause of the accident has not been disclosed, officials say a total of eight vehicles were involved. Witnesses note how a chain reaction was caused after a vehicle hit another vehicle, crashing into other vehicles, and retainer walls, all while spinning wildly out of control. The individual who passed away in the accident was not wearing a seat belt and was ejected from the passenger seat of the vehicle they were in. Police arrested the driver of the same vehicle under suspicion of driving while intoxicated.

At my firm, I’ve seen countless victims of drunk driving accidents suffer very serious injuries, but it never gets any easier, especially since drunk driving accidents are one hundred percent avoidable. I know this must be a difficult time for the victims and their families, and I wish them a speedy recovery.
